After a hard fought game with back & forth action, the Kraken fall short 2-1 tonight bringing our series and 2024/25 season to an end. Landon Carson scored our lone goal tonight, with assists from Kananga Mangala and Luke Bennett. Congratulations to Lake Cowichan Kraken Defenceman, Luke Bennett, on being awarded the 2024/25 VIJHL Mac MacWilliams Memorial Trophy - Unsung Hero 🏆 Bennett, who also scored a goal in his first BCHL game this season with the @surreyeagles, has been a stalwart on the Kraken blue line this season. He doesn’t play defence in his zone, he patrols it. A hard hitting, take-no-prisoners defenceman with a penchant for offence! The visiting Lake Cowichan stopped a close one tonight, 3-1 to the home town Campbell River. A closely contested game for the full 60 minutes. The boys head back to Lake Cowichan, with practice tomorrow night. Game 4 of this best of seven is being hosted in Lake Cowichan this coming Sunday… an early puck drop at 6:30pm. See you there!
