Congratulation to Ross Forrest in receiving the new recognition of Freeman of the Town in Lake Cowichan, British Columbia, Canada. The title Freeman of the Town is the highest civic honour that Council may bestow. Having served as Mayor and an overall champion of Lake Cowichan, Mr. Forrest has embodied compassion, empathy, and a deep commitment to the community.
From its inception, Ross continues to be a valued mentor to our Lake Cowichan Kraken Junior Hockey Club. The support, advice and goodwill Ross, his wife Tracey and his family have provided the Kraken franchise has proven to been invaluable.
